Japanese rollerball pens write with liquid ink, so the line runs wetter and smoother than a ballpoint and needs almost no pressure. Every pen here is finished by hand, from Yamanaka lacquer over aluminum to layered colored urushi on solid keyaki.

All of them take standard refills you can buy outside Japan, so they stay working pens rather than display pieces.
